Mojo is back and hungry for ratings. BY BLAIR MARNELL
On the final day of Comic-Con International, Marvel’s ResurrXion panel displayed the mutant ability to be light on new and exciting details about upcoming stories. However, Marc Guggenheim did drop a few hints about the "Mojo Worldwide" crossover that will bring the X-Men Blue and X-Men Gold teams together for the first time since their collective relaunches.
Given Guggenheim and co-writer Cullen Bunn’s obvious love of the classic X-Men stories, it seems appropriate that "Mojo Worldwide" will actually begin with the two teams playing softball. That's a tradition that dates back to the Chris Claremont Uncanny X-Men era. From there, Mojo comes to Earth and pits the X-Men against their greatest foes in a desperate bid for ratings. That’s got to be a metaphor for comics in general.

As seen in the preview art, Dark Phoenix, Apocalypse, the Brood, and the Days of Future Past Sentinels will be among the array of foes thrown at the X-Men. Guggenheim explained that the teams will be in “artificial scenarios,” but he stressed that the story would lead to “game-changing consequences” for both teams of X-Men. Guggenheim also noted that Ink, a character from his Young X-Men run, will appear in the story. However, the big return will be Longshot, who has been causing problems for Mojo in the Mojoverse. Guggenheim didn’t share specifics, but presumably Longshot’s rebellion will be the catalyst for Mojo’s desperation attempt to milk the X-Men for ratings.
The "Mojo Worldwide" crossover will begin this fall in X-Men Blue #13.
